Vinyl Love parts 1-10

I've decided to start posting up pictures of my favourite records. I used have about 20,000 vinyl albums and 12"s and still have well over half of that so as you can imagine there is some great art and some iconic covers.

Here are the first ten!

Let's start off with the legendary B-boy and graf artist who passed this week, this was a pioneering tune
Ramelezzee RIP

Since it's Jam's 8th Birthday tomorrow here is a classic from way back in the Sir Henrys days unreal cover and banging tune

"Now for my next record, i'd like to return to the classics"

"Dance this mess around" and other nice tunes from a great new wave band

One of the best Stevie Wonder album covers and an under-rated album

another great cover, another great band and one of the greatest songs of all time-great price too!

1993, Fish Records, Liberty St! (got it signed years later)

Gig is cancelled in Cork, but at least the music is still here EPIC music on Motown

Love this; Mahalia Jackson

Finally for now, a bit of modern day soul and a signed copy of a great album

Some for the late night crew! The Beatles covered!

My main man Choice (DJ Scope of http://www.choicecutsonline.com/ ) posted "Times Up" today and got me thinking of this-i only have it on some vinyl compilation but a great Beatles cover and a terrific break! This and a recent article at Soul Sides got me thinking of one or two more of my favourite Beatles covers. There's hundreds of amazing ones, off the top of the dome here are ten off mine!

O.C.

Here are some more great Beatles covers

Ramsey Lewis

Al Green

Smokey Robinson (couldn't find the amazing Detroit Emeralds version on youtube)

Fiona Apple

Ike and Tina

Blendcrafters (this was huge for me)

Marvin Gaye
