Go Deep classic from a Jam classic from a jazz classic!

I love it when music bends genres. This house track has been tearing it up at Go Deep in the Pavilion lately and I asked Shane about it last night. He told me it was called "Infinity" and my suspicions that it was inspired by the Souls of Mischief hip-hop classic were confirmed (Itself a clever use of Billy Cobham)

Enjoy and catch Go Deep every Saturday at the Pavilion plus folow on Twitter here

Rise and Shine soul! Minnie Riperton part 6

The fact that it is her best known song and a standard is irrelevant; it's a classic track and another platform for that voice!

The vinyl junkie's spring cleaning session!

My studio is a disaster. I've still got over 10 or 15 thousand records at home alone and milliions of CD's too. All four corners of my house are covered in music and it's getting to the stage where I (and my wife) have said enough is enough! I already started by cleaning my office in RedFM last night and am starting my studio this weekend (even little Lola is giving a hand)

Rise and Shine soul! Minnie Riperton part 4

Rise and Shine soul! Minnie Riperton part 2

People don't realise how important she was not just in soul music. She was also one of the first public figures to spread awareness of Breast Cancer, which took her at a ridiculous young age of 31

What a woman, and what a voice!
