Tune of the day-The Pharcyde

When the 12's of this dropped in late 95, the Back Bar was never the same again!

Jay Dee long before Dilla, and tune of the day!

Amazing remixes from Dilla and Rae and Christian, plus the original sample below!

50 years of Motown no. 13 and one for the late night crew-The Jackson 5 "All I do is think of you"

My favourite Jackson 5 track and my favourite hip-hop producer sampled it. R.I.P. Michael, and R.I.P. Dilla

I'm not gonna front on you, this song breaks down all my defences and I was quite emotional as I ended my tribute mix with it last Saturday

Tune of the day! Janet Jackson/J Dilla

A bonafide classic and a massive influence on hip-hop producers for years after, it is typical that Dilla got little credit for this even though it was his only hit! Jam and Lewis got credit at the grammy's, but the true heads know who was responsible! This was a special tune for me in the Back Bar of Sir Henrys and Janet remains a pop star who always comes up with some good club jams every so often! Q Tips verse is dope too and similar to what he was doing on the Dilla produced "Sometimes" by the Brand New Heavies at the same time; another great tune! Enjoy the other Dilla mix and the original too!
